Principal's Message

Welcome back, bulldogs!

I hope you and your family had some fun last week and are feeling rejuvenated for our final nine weeks of the school year! This last week of March and month of April are critical as they are the final weeks before end of the year testing. Our teachers will be conducting reviews of all content to ensure students feel confident to show their skills on PM3 testing and get us back to that “A” status! I have seen everyone working so hard all year long so I am confident that we will show growth but we can’t do it without your support and daily attendance.

Make sure to get that picture day outfit ready for Thursday and practice your best smile. Order forms for both class pictures and individual spring pictures went home so make sure to send those in if you plan on purchasing.

Make sure to check out the important dates below for additional events happening this week so you don’t miss a thing. We are looking forward to welcoming all the smiling faces back to The Shire tomorrow!
Gratefully,

1-2-3-4 WE DECLARE A PENNY WAR!
The student-favorite is back…Penny Wars starts Monday! Start digging through those couch cushions and cup holders.

How it works:

  • Pennies & Bills: Add these to your class jar to gain points.
  • Silver Coins: Drop nickels, dimes, and quarters into other classes' jars to subtract points from their total!

The Grand Prize: The class that finishes with the most points will celebrate their victory with a Popsicle Party!

It’s all in good fun and supports our PTA. Are you ready to see who comes out on top?

Join Us: PTA General Meeting & Expert Panel!

We’re heading into the home stretch of the school year! Join us this week in the Media Center to get an inside look at the roadmap for the remainder of the school year + leadership plans for next year.

Following the general business, we’re thrilled to have fellow Brookshire parent, Caitlin McDonald, lead an expert panel discussion: Raising Resilient Kids in Today’s World. This is a “don’t miss” session designed to provide parents with practical, supportive tools that will provide immense value regarding our children’s emotional growth.

Help us pack the room! We encourage all parents and staff to attend; spread the word and bring a friend!
